Department of Telugu

      The Department was established in the year 1997.The department has well qualified, experienced committed and dedicated faculty with a long teaching experience, research exposure and authorship. Total number of Teaching Staff including Head of the Department is 4 with two Ph.D.’s and two M.Phil

      The Department conducts well-organized national seminars, workshops, debates in the college and the faculty participated in various national and international seminars. The department involves the students in various activities like debate, discussions, quiz, elocution competitions etc.

      Many senior academicians like Dr. Ch.LaxmanChakravarthy,Assoc.Prof,Telengana University, Nizamabad and Dr. Varija Rani Rangacharya, Osmania university are associated with the department.

      Guest lectures on Adunika Sahitya Vimarshakulu-Prasthanalu and Telugu Navala Katha,International language day(21 st febrauary every year),kaloji jayanthi,showing documentaries about poet srinaada,gangireddu(modern poetry),organizing poetryworkshop etc.are organized for the students.Department encourages student to participate in feminist poetry AKSHARA SATYA organization. The books published by the Department have been prescribed as text books/reference books by various Universities.
